Before

This lower level/walkout basement in a newly built home was perfect to turn it into a stand alone studio to add finished square footage to the home, as well as increase its value.

We needed to get creative to convert a space with exposed pipes, vents, and a mechanical room into a finished living space. The framing was built to accommodate a bathroom, kitchen area, a closet and an entertainment center while effectively hiding all the exposed pipes.

After

The studio is complete with a 3/4 bath, a kitchen, bedroom space with a closet, and a built-in entertainment center.

For the kitchen area, we installed beautiful natural hickory cabinets, a cooktop and sink, and space for a full size refrigerator, a microwave, and a smaller dishwasher. The impressive backsplash ties everything together with a combination of natural colors.

The small bathroom accommodates a beautiful tile shower that matches the colors of the kitchen, complete with a modern glass enclosure. We installed a trendy barndoor that is perfect for saving space.

This studio is a great upgrade to the newly built home, by adding a stand alone space for guests or to be used as a rental unit. The space is functional, comfortable and stylish!
