Renovation
The idea was to use a butcherblock slab as the countertop for the kitchen island, so we built the island frame in a rectangular shape, leaving space for storage on one side and some room on the other side to place bar stools. The butcherblock was refinished to match the wood floor.
For a bright and clean feel, we installed white cabinets and a white countertop with some gray features. Then a large white sink was installed that gives the kitchen a very modern look. New stainless steel appliances have also been installed.
We are using gray glass tile for the backsplash which will complement the gray details of the countertops and the stainless steel appliances, and it will also complete the kitchen with some shine and texture.

After
The final design is a unique space that effortlessly brings together the wood tones from the floor and the sleek elements of the kitchen with the addition of a large butcherblock island. The oversized farmhouse sink, white quartz countertop, and pristine cabinets give the kitchen a clean, modern look.
The neutral tones from the glassy tile of the backsplash complement the stainless steel appliances while maintaining the brightness of the space. Finally, the dark hardware and light fixtures are the finishing touches that add a bold, contemporary look to this beautiful kitchen.
We are happy with the final look of the space for a fun, modern kitchen that is efficient, comfortable, and represents the owner’s unique personal style!
